ABOUT THE EVENT
An unsurpassed master of the comedy genre, Jacques Offenbach is one of the outstanding French composers of the second half of the XIX century. During his short life, and he lived 61 years, this brilliant musical feuilletonist, satirist-buffo, improviser managed to create more than 100 operettas, two operas (although the world knows only one), a huge number of symphonic, vocal, choral, religious works. Possessing an exceptional melodic gift, he created as he breathed, and it was not by chance that he was called "Mozart of the Champs-Elysees". His melodies were sung by the whole of Europe, and then America. Offenbach even founded his own Buffe Parisien Theater in Paris, where his operettas were staged with incredible success.
